DIY Lavender Bath Fizzies/Bombs

DIY Lavender Bath Bombs:

Baking Soda
Citric Acid
Spray Bottle of Witch Hazel
Fragrance Oil
Mini Cupcake Pan
Lavendar Sprigs (Optional)
Bowl and Fork for Mixin'

I started by lining the pan with some broken pieces of the lavender. This worked well for distinguishing different scents, too!

Step 1: Pour 1 Cup of Baking Soda into your mixing bowl. Run the fork through it really good to make sure there are no clumps.

Step 2: Combine with 1/2 Cup of the Citric Acid. Continue to run your fork through and make sure there are no clumps and everything is smooth.

Step 3: Add a few drops of the scented oil. This is a little dusty (as you've probably noticed), but you really want to be able to smell it well, so error on the side of more than less. Mix very very well.

Step 4: Now we've come to the challenging part. This dictates the losers from the winners.
You want to take your spray bottle of witch hazel and spray, then stir a lot, then spray, then stir a lot, etc. This could take 2 sprays or 7 sprays depending on your spray bottle and your climate. Below will give you an example of what happens with too much witch hazel vs. the perfect amount.

Notice my hand in the picture above. You want it to start being moldable.

From this point you want to start pouring into the mini cupcake pan and packing it in. You want to press it in REALLY HARD. Make sure each mini cupcake bath bombs is packed in really tightly.

Let them set for ten minutes, then you can tap them out of the pan and let them sit out for 24 hours to fully dry.

Below is an example of too much witch hazel (24 hrs) vs. perfect amount of witch hazel (24 hrs).

and then you can wrap them up all nice and cute to give at a gift!
