DIY Mason Jar Snowglobe

As a Christmas gift for my niece, I tried my hand at creating a mason jar snowglobe. She's 1.5, so I wanted her to have all the joys of a snowglobe, but not being able to shatter easily. Here are the pictures and steps for creating the perfect mason jar snowglobe.

You'll need:
- E6000 Glue (You can get this anywhere from OSH to Michaels)
- Some kind of plastic figurine to put inside (Not metal or it will rust)
- A nice sized mason jar that will fit your figurine inside by balancing on the lid
- Glycerin (usually found in the baking area of Michaels and it makes the sparkles fall nicely)
- Distilled water to fill your mason jar with
- Sparkles!

This is pretty simple, just remember a few key things:
1. When gluing your figurine down, make sure to let it sit for over 24 hours before submerging it.
2. Fill the water to the top of the mason jar. It won't overflow, but you definitely don't want air bubbles.
3. Add a little bit a of glycerin to a filled-with-water mason jar. You can always test it and add more!
4. When I say test-it, put some sparkles in (not a ton!) and stir it up with a spoon with the glycerin and water. You don't want to overload it with sparkles, but you definitely want enough to make you happy with the result. If they aren't falling slow enough, add a little more glycerin to the mixture.
5. Store it on its bottom (upside down). This isn't meant to last for an eternity, but storing it upright (lid up) can help it stay longer.
